Competence-Based Hiring and Placing: In keeping with the TÜPRAŞ vision and mission, besides the common values we expect every employee to adopt, certain competencies that are determined in terms of our corporate culture and in view of our vacant positions are evaluated during the hiring process.
Salary Administration : TÜPRAŞ implements an evaluation system based on content-based job assessment that is independent of title and function. The goal is to determine salaries by means of competitive and fair corporate policies so that total income of employees is compatible with current wage markets. In addition, performance is also acknowledged through a Salary System that rewards and motivates the employee.
Career Planning: The aim of the TÜPRAŞ Career Planning/Development process is early detection of potential achievers and planning for their preparation for positions with more responsibility by offering the opportunity to acquire the needed professional knowledge, skills and development. The principle of choosing specialized and management staff from the ranks of the Group is a general policy within the Koç Group. Every employee at every level is provided with the opportunity for in-house and outside training, according to the particular needs of his/her career development . In-Group rotation opportunities are also made available so that personal development may be enhanced within the framework of organizational development.
Performance Management: The aim of the performance management system used in the Group as a whole is to acknowledge excellent performance, evaluating and guiding this performance objectively in the light of common principles. At the beginning of every year, each employee meets with his/her Line Manager at a Goal Determination Meeting in which the goals to be targeted by the employee, integrated with the company’s own goals, are set down. A review of these goals is made over the year at monthly, quarterly and biannual intervals and the necessary adjustments are made. At the end of the year, it is determined how far the employee has been able to meet the goal set for him/her at the beginning of that year. The employee is evaluated concurrently by his/her line manager, his/her peers and subordinates, if any.
Training: Our Company places great importance on personnel training, providing the necessary professional knowledge and skills and the means to develop personal talents. In addition, the Company takes care to meet the requests of university and vocational school students for apprenticeship opportunities.
