Support from Tüpraş for Street Animals

Tüpraş didn’t forget the street animals that had difficulties in finding food during the Corona virus pandemic and signed a protocol with Körfez Municipality of Kocaeli and Aliağa Municipality of Izmir to meet the needs of street animals for feeding.

Tüpraş, which fulfills its corporate responsibility by developing projects or supporting existing projects to improve the life quality of the society in the areas that it operates, continues its social responsibility projects during the Corona virus pandemic as well.

For this purpose, the Company started to act for street animals that had difficulties in finding food since restaurants and cafés were closed during the Corona virus pandemic. The company initially started to provide support for animal shelters in the region during the lockdown after signing a protocol with Körfez Municipality of Kocaeli, and then it signed another protocol with Aliağa Municipality of Izmir and took another step to improve the living conditions of street animals.

According to these protocols, the food provided by Tüpraş is delivered to municipality officers and volunteer animal lovers, who are directed by the municipality to feed street animals.

The Company has combined its current “Zero Waste” initiative with this project and continues to share leftovers from its cafeterias with our closest friends.
