E5 Reference Gasoline

It is the reference and certification fuel used in testing gasoline engine vehicles.

Its specification is given in Commission Regulation (EC) No 692/2008 of 18 July 2008.

It contains 4.7-5.3% ethanol by volume.

E10 Reference Gasoline

It is the reference and certification fuel used in testing gasoline engine vehicles.

Its specification is given in Commission Regulation (EU) No 136/2014 of 11 February 2014.

It contains 9.0-10.0% ethanol by volume.

Euro V Reference Gasoline Type 1/2/3/4

Reference gasoline products that are not contain ethanol and have different vapor pressures.

2D Reference Diesel

It is the emission test fuel used in testing diesel engines exported to USA.

It is named as EPA Certification Diesel, Diesel No.2, 2D Reference Diesel, Reference Diesel Fuel, Emission Certification Fuel, Diesel Special Test Fuel, Gasoil, Diesel 2007 Emission Certification Fuel, Diesel Tier 2 Fuel, 2D Diesel.

It contains sulphur between 7-15 ppm.

Its specification is included in the American Code of Federal Regulations document as 40 CFR § 1065.703 - Distillate diesel fuel.

B5 Reference Diesel

It contains 4.5-5.5% biodiesel by volume.

Its specification is contained in Commission Regulation (EC) No 692/2008 of 18 July 2008.

B7 Reference Diesel

It contains 6-7% biodiesel by volume.

Its specification is contained in Commission Regulation (EU) No 136/2014 of 11 February 2014.

Diesel Products for European Agricultural and Non-Road Activities

It is used to certify D-G, H-K and L-R class diesel engines in tractors used in agriculture and forestry and in mobile machines used off-highway.

Its specification is given in this link that is published by United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).

Arctic Reference Diesel

It is an Arctic diesel fuel used in engine tests at low temperatures.

The cold filter plugging point is lower than -45 °C and the cloud point is lower than -35 °C. It may contain lubricating and cold flow improving additives. It can be produced with or without biodiesel. 

Its specification is included in the EN590 Diesel Standard document dated 2009 as Class 4 Arctic and Winter diesel.
