TSI COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate for Tüpraş

Tüpraş İzmit Refinery has been certified with “TSI COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate”, after completely fulfilling the requirements of infection prevention and control procedures determined by Turkish Standards Institute (TSI) and successfully passing the audits.

The company has swiftly implemented many measures to protect its employees and stakeholders in all refineries and administrative offices since the beginning of pandemic. Certification process for İzmir, Kırıkkale and Batman refineries is still in progress.

The inspectors of TSI meticulously examined the measures taken in Tüpraş İzmit Refinery in accordance with TSI COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate. Practices in many different areas of İzmit Refinery, such as production sites, staff shuttles, pandemic trainings, waste management, compliance of offices, hygienic equipment, cafeterias, resting areas, sterilization of restrooms and controls on service providers were audited in detail and t Refinery was awarded with COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate, as a result of these audits.

Tüpraş Crisis Desk, which convenes every week by video conference for the works being performed, evaluates the developments in refineries and subsidiaries and takes decisions for perfect implementation of necessary actions. The company has followed the instructions of scientists, particularly World Health Organization, and Turkish Ministry of Health regarding risks arising out of Corona virus since the first day and closely monitored all developments about Corona virus crisis by acting in line with the instructions of Koç Holding’s Crisis Center.
