Young Talents Embark on Their Career Journey with Tüpraş Nextremers
Tüpraş, Türkiye’s leading energy company, is once again creating career opportunities for young talents with the sixth edition of the Nextremers program. Participants in the Tüpraş Nextremers program gain hands-on experience by actively contributing to projects and enhancing their skills through specialized training. Applications for the Tüpraş Nextremers program, open to university students and young professionals, will be accepted until March 31st.
Tüpraş’s talent acquisition program Nextremers invites young talents aspiring to build a successful career in the energy industry. Now in its sixth edition, Tüpraş Nextremers fosters the personal development of university students and young professionals, offering a prestigious work experience through active participation in real-world projects.
Tüpraş Nextremers gain hands-on experience by rotating through various functions, including Production, Maintenance, R&D, Data Analytics, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Strategic Planning, Human Resources, Finance, Financial Affairs, and Corporate Communications.
They develop their skills through leadership and technical training provided by Tüpraş Academy. Additionally, they have access to Koç Academy’s comprehensive training catalog. During the program, participants can take part in Tüpraş Social Activity Clubs and join Tüpraş Sports Teams.
The Tüpraş Nextremers program is open to university seniors, master’s students, and candidates who graduated in 2024. University students work at least three days a week, while others participate full-time, working five days a week as Tüpraş employees.
In 2024, 50 young professionals joined the Tüpraş Nextremers program, bringing the total number of participants to 265 since its launch.
Tüpraş Human Resources Assistant General Manager Önder Korkmaz highlighted the program’s impact, stating, “We design Tüpraş Nextremers as a distinguished program where young talents can develop future-ready skills through hands-on experience. In 2024 alone, we received over 20,000 applications for Tüpraş Nextremers.”
Underscoring that Nextremers applications are evaluated within the framework of diversity and inclusion, just like all other human resources processes at Tüpraş, Korkmaz emphasized the company’s commitment to gender equality, “At Tüpraş, gender equality is one of our top priorities, and last year, 60 percent of our Nextremers were young female talents. We actively support women’s career journeys across all areas of the energy industry, from R&D and innovation to refinery sites, sales, and marketing. Through the projects they take part in, all our participants gain valuable hands-on experience. In 2025, we will continue shaping the industry’s talent transformation by developing the top professionals of the future with Tüpraş Nextremers.”
In addition to Nextremers, its long-term young talent program, Tüpraş continues to offer short- term internship opportunities for the summer period. Applications for the short-term internship program are set to open in April.
